World's largest solartree : all facts you need to know
Hi friends , as we all know that India is now more focusing to switch on renewable energy sources instead of non renewable sources like coal . So in a bid to promote renewable energy, CSIR-CMERI both cllabotrated to enhance solar energy in the country and with this purpose they have developed the world's largest solar tree which is installed in Durgapur, West Bengal.
Features of the Solar Tree
The main features of this solar tree are:-
1. As per knowledge it will produce upto 11,500 watts(11.5kw). After that the second largest tree is set up in London and produce about 8.6kw.
2. Solar tree has the potential to save 10 -12 tons of CO2 emissions being released in to the atmosphere as Greenhouse Gases when compared with fossil fuel fired energy generation.
3. The CSIR -CMERI developed solar powered e-suvidha kiosks may also be connected to the solar Trees for real - time access to the vast majority of agricultural databases.
How farmers get benefitted from it .
The Solar Trees were designed , for widerspread usage in agricultural activities such as high capacity pumps, e- tractors and e- powered tillers.
This is a good scheme, as it will offer farmers with a sustainable income.
There is a possibility that in the future all the farms in India will run without any diesel requirement .why i am saying this , because for irrigation purposes 13% of the diesel is used by water pumps, as farmers have limited access to electricity, hence they rely on diesel generators.
Thus, as an energy source , the solar tree is very cheap in comparison with the diesel generator . As per my knowledge , around 9 crore farmers families are already connected with the PM- KISAN scheme.
Keep it up
