What is Mission Shakti 

Mission Shakti is an initiative launch by Uttar Pradesh  CM Yogi Adityanath on october 17th , 2020  on the first day of Navaratri . it is a 6- month long women empowerment campaign till the 'Basant Navaratri' April,2021 to raise awareness and tackle crime against women in the state . The campaign was kicked off  from Devi Paatan Shakti Peeth in Balrampur  in order to vows  'Zero tolerance' to crime against women . in present time the crime against women has been increased day by day and facing flak over a string of rape incidents in Uttar Pradesh .

Why the campaign name " Mission Shakti"

As the Mission launch in navaratra time and Goddess Durga is a symbol of maha shakti so taking inspiration from it the campaign name so.

Progress of " mission Shakti "

         when we talking about any initiative, it is just because of the awareness about such initative through news , media and through campaigning at various places . here  I mention  about the Campaign held in my locality (Dadri , G.B nagar) and I also become part of this campaign .

Here the program which was jointly organized by Satendra kumar Shooting Academy LLP and Noida Police has been done successfully as many girls, women and small kids participate in this Programe and learn various skills of handling weapons and defending herself in any unpredictable situation . 

In this Campaign , there was the focus on spreading awareness of women safety and dignity.  the basic knowledge about weapons , how to hold weapons and how the weapon has to be used , all  information were provided by demonstrating weapons and telling about their names and their ranges of target by the  shooting trainer.

In this program the girls were also learn the basic of using weapons and with this all the women and girl perform the shooting task . first time I also hold the gun and performed  the shooting task . I Think this is very important for all the women that she should have some idea of using weapon , in case of emergency of defending herself in any situation . 

with the  use of weapons , their was also a  training  for safety in which the girls has been taught about the basic techniques that how she can defend herself and she can easily handle any situation . this is very necessary in present time that women have some awareness to defend herself in any situation  so that it will help in reducing the crime against women .

This 2 days Program teach me various Skills of how to use the weapon and how  I can defend myself . this is a very good Initiative to Empower women  and we need to spread such initiatives in our society so that we can  connect more and more people and spread the awareness by organizing such programs in each district and locality which will help in making our society educated with the basics of  safety and Security . with this hope I also want to be a part of this initiative and thatswhy Iwrite about my experience of this campaign so that more and more women participate in such campaign and become independent for herself.

Some facts about Mission Shakti

• The first stage of the mission intends to combat challenges that prevent the empowernment and safety of women .
• the active step must be taken to make the new generations aware of the culture of our country where women are respected and empowered.  
• The campaign aim to raise awareness about crime in all 75 district across the state.
•  On this occasion the governor of UP Anandi behn patel flagged off  100 pink scooty and four wheelerWomen police vehicle under the safe city project
